How to use this tool – step by step

Why do I need this?

  • Plan your home or office electrical load before buying appliances.
  • Avoid overloading circuits – know your total wattage and phase distribution.
  • Estimate your monthly electricity bill with per‑appliance usage hours – microwaves and irons only run for minutes, while ACs run for hours.
  • Compare inverter vs traditional appliances and see the savings instantly.

What does it give you?

  • Instant load summary – total watts (W) and kilowatts (kW) of all appliances combined.
  • Phase breakdown – see single‑phase and three‑phase loads separately.
  • Accurate monthly bill – based on each appliance's own daily hours.
  • Essential appliance list – curated for homes and offices (LEDs, fans, ACs, fridges, desktops, etc.).
  • Add custom appliances – if your item isn't listed, add it yourself with name, wattage, and phase.

Step‑by‑step guide

  • 1. Search – Type any appliance name (e.g. "fan", "ac", "led") in the search box. The list updates instantly.
  • 2. Filter – Use the phase buttons to show only single‑phase or three‑phase items.
  • 3. Add – Tap any appliance card or its + Add button to put one unit in your Load Box.
  • 4. Set hours – In the Load Box, enter the daily usage hours for each appliance (e.g., 0.25 for microwave, 8 for AC, 24 for fridge).
  • 5. Adjust quantities – Use + and − buttons to change the number of each item.
  • 6. See totals – The summary shows total wattage (max demand), daily energy (kWh), and monthly energy.
  • 7. Calculate bill – Enter your rate ($/kWh) and days per month. The monthly bill updates automatically.
  • 8. Add custom – Use the form below the appliance grid to add any appliance not in the list.
  • 9. Clear & restart – Click Clear to empty your Load Box and start over.

What can you do after using it?

  • Optimize your usage – adjust hours to reflect your actual habits and see the bill change.
  • Compare appliances – see the cost difference between inverter and non‑inverter models.
  • Size your solar system – use daily kWh consumption to design your solar array and battery backup.
  • Right‑size your UPS / generator – know exactly how much backup capacity you need (in kW).
  • Share with an electrician – get accurate numbers for wiring, breaker sizing, and phase balancing.
